There are so many reasons why I love summer…
personally I think summer is one of the best times of the year. Everyone is happier and feels healthier.
When the sun is shining it feels like all my problems just melt away and my freckles come out to play.
I love spending time with friends and family…Summer is perfect for this, with endless family BBQ’s, Drinks with friends and of course my favourite summer activity PICNIC’S!!
It is important to spend time with family and friends, but especially family.
My whole family and my partner’s don’t get together very often due to busy lives and work but when we do it the ultimate feel good feeling!! Every one catching up, laughing and joking, with drink flowing and enough food to feed a small army.
I really do LOVE summer food. I adore BBQ’s, fresh fruit, smoothies and of course ice cream!! I love it all.
You definitely can’t beat summer drink’s aswell, bring out the cocktails, the Pimm’s and the freezing cold strawberry and lime cider. It doesn’t get much better then that.
On a hot summers day there is nothing better than a lush cold watermelon!! It is so refreshing and bonus!! I am the only person in my house that likes watermelon, so more for me.
Summer is the one time are year when nearly every one is on a high because of the sun. Who doesn’t feel better after they’re daily dose of vitamin D??
I am at my happiest when I am lounging around in garden soaking up some rays and getting lost in a good book…besides when else can you steal your friends little girls paddling pool and get away with it??
Yes it sucks when you are stuck at work and you look out window and see people enjoying the sunshine…
I work right on Lee-On-Solent sea front. So in the summer I see like a million people eating the famous Blue Bird Cafe pink and white ice cream (sad face).
But working so close to the sea does have it’s up sides, if you fancey a cheeky lunch break on the beach with the girlies!!
We all love summer fashion, you can even deny it. From Plazzo pants and maxi dresses to cute little playsuits and denim shorts, its perfection.
I love a good maxi dress, you know for those days when you can’t be bothered to shave your legs (don’t lie we have all done it).
Nearly every summer I must buy nearly a whole new wardrobe. I just help my self, because you know every time summer comes around I never have any summer clothes or holiday clothes for that fact…
Summer is always the perfect time to make new lasting memorise…And thats what I love about summer, you never know what the next day is going to bring.
There is so much to do during the summer months…Festival season starts, Wimbledon beings, country shows start popping up all over the place.
You can explore all along the coast line and watch the sunset behind the sea or go for long woodland walks in fields full of cute baby animals and beautiful flowers (Beconase is key for hay fever, summers only let down).
local to me I have so many wonderful places I can explore and old favourite places I can’t help to revisit, from Lee-On-Solent sea front with sneaky ice cream on the beach and The New forest for a spot of afternoon tea to the beautiful scenery of Sussex and pickwell farm where you can pick your own juicy sweet strawberries.
So with still over a month of summer to go. Go out on as many adventures as you can. Make so amazing new memories and explore the area you live in!!
With love Lauren-Amy
